A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada with an MBA from HEC (Hautes Études Commerciales) Montréal, Suzanne Lortie became a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) since July 2012, and Director of the communication program (cultural and media production strategies) at UQAM’s École des médias in June 2013. Before that, she was tour manager for La La La Human Steps and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and later production manager for various Montreal festivals. Television production manager and line producer since 1992 (Gemini and ADISQ award-winning variety and culture series, documentaries), today Ms. Lortie is a new media strategies consultant. She has also been contributing to the Canada Media Fund’s Trendscape blog since its creation.
