Mark Allen is the Senior Director of Research and Analysis at CBC/Radio-Canada, where he leads audience, survey and industry research. He has a passion for media technology, its impact on consumers and the future of media measurement.

Mark Allen is the Senior Director of Research and Analysis at CBC/Radio-Canada, where he leads audience, survey and industry research. He has a passion for media technology, its impact on consumers and the future of media measurement. In this role, Mark is an active Numeris member and has served on committees guiding TV, radio, non-linear and cross-media measurement in Canada.

Prior to CBC, Mark was a consultant in PwC’s Entertainment and Media Practice. During this time, Mark consulted for a number of industry associations, private sector and public sector clients in the broadcasting, TV distribution and production sectors. Mark led the preparation of environmental scans, strategic assessments,economic analysis, policy/regulatory assessments, forecasts and business plans.

Mark has obtained a Masters Degree in Mass Communications from Carleton University, where he also teaches part-time on the future of Canadian television.
